About Me

Hi! I joined Ogallala Counseling about a year ago as a counseling intern and am currently finishing up my last requirements for graduation this summer with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health from Chadron State College at which point I will then be licensed as a PLMHP. Before joining the counseling field, I worked as a Physical Therapist in rural areas of Western Nebraska and Wyoming for the past 17 years. Some of you may even recognize me from the time I spent working at the Ogallala Community Hospital over the last 7 years before retiring from Physical Therapy. I provide a comfortable and safe environment that allows you to explore, untangle, learn and heal areas in your life where you have been struggling. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) which is an amazing technique and can be used to help move you forward in the healing process. I also have been trauma certified by the Arizona Trauma Institute as a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist-Individual (CCTSI). I see all ages, from children to adults. I can help with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, domestic violence, addictions, and trauma. I enjoy helping people work through all sorts of challenges however, couples counseling is one of my favorites because it is very rewarding for me to help get your marriage and family life back on track. I like to use a healthy dose of humor in sessions to help you see the lighter side of life, while striving to learn the things about you that makes you unique. I look forward to working with you soon!
