Edwin P. “Chip” Maupin,   LMHP CPC

Hi, I’ve been working in mental health for 22 years and prior to that I was both a minister and a youth-minister.  I have been working in Ogallala for the past 15 years and Ogallala Counseling PC has been here for the past 13 years.

I work mainly with adults but I also work with couples, teenagers and some children.  I consider myself an all around therapist, but I have done extensive work dealing with trauma recovery and Dissociative Disorders.    I have been trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Hypnosis and Critical Incident Debriefing.

I can help you deal with relationship issues, work place issues, depression, anxiety, co-dependency and much more.

I can help you heal from the wounds that life gives and I can teach you how to live successfully.

Hey there! Glad you found us.  I am so excited to meet you and work with you. I started in private practice in 1988.  My goal is to give you a safe place to come in and talk out your problems with someone you can build a trusting relationship with.  I utilize several approaches in helping you meet your goals for therapy including something called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).  I have dealt with numerous issues and ages.  These include addictions,  mood disorders, anxiety, relational issues, domestic violence, trauma and dissociative disorders.  I love all ages, but probably do better with kids ages 8 to 98.  I especially love working with college age folks who are in the crux of finding their way in this life.
I worked in Denver for 4 1/2 years when I first got my Masters degree in counseling and then eventually moved back home to be near family.  Coming home was the best thing I ever did to have the opportunity to give back to the community that I love.  I have built this private practice with a lot of time, love and with the good support of a solid business partner, supportive office manager and family.  I am living the dream I had in college when I found my niche for helping others.  As your therapist I will give a lot of feedback,  ask you a host of questions to help you tell your story, while also being a teacher, coach, support, resource and team member.  I laugh with folks, add lots of humor as laughter does help heal, hand you Kleenex to dry your tears, and strive to help you sort out the stuff life hands you.   I explain to you the confidentiality issues, especially to those whom have never been to therapy before.  I explain the therapeutic relationship so that you understand the protective boundaries and relationship that is vital for therapy to be successful.  I look forward to working with you.

Hello, my name is Marlo Roberts.  I have more than 25 years experience in the helping field.  I have been with Ogallala Counseling for over 5 years.  I am a fully licensed therapist (LIMHP).  My primary focus includes addiction counseling, domestic violence, women's issues, teenagers, depression, anxiety and trauma.  I work with teenagers and adults on whatever issues they bring. I do work with children however; I am not a medicaid provider.  I look forward to meeting with you and helping you through the everyday issues that life brings.

Hi, Thanks so much for reaching out and seeking support for whatever life is throwing at you right now.  I know the first call can be pretty scary.  I am an Independently Licensed Therapist and also on the state approved list of providers for substance abuse issues.  I am trained in EMDR, an amazing way to work on trauma and an array of other things you may be going through.  I also am specialized in DBT Therapy, fancy letters for mindfulness and learning to regulate emotions, and also CBT Therapy, which addresses thinking, feeling and behaviors.  I like to have fun and infuse sessions with humor and being real.  I would love to meet with you and work towards your goals.
